Participants must be entering grades 6 to 8.
This camp is for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students that are pre-approved to make an instrument switch or that are planning to enroll in orchestra for the first time. (This camp is not designed for incoming 5th-grade students.) Students will develop techniques and skills required to participate in 6th-grade band or orchestra. We will focus on instrument technique, note reading, understanding new rhythms, as well as how to put together and maintain your instrument. Camp will culminate with a concert for family and friends! Please contact your school’s orchestra teacher so we may work together to get all the necessary supplies in time for camp.
